TEAM’s Backup to Disk service offers the speed you demand and the assurance that comes only from a business-class provider. TEAM’s data Backup to Disk service offers lightning-fast data transfer speeds to our specially designed and highly secure offsite disk storage vaults.

Backup to Disk provides customers with an offsite copy of the data stored on their Managed Dedicated or Colocated Server.  TEAM uses block level based technology to provide data backup services for Linux and Windows customers.

TEAM maintains a private 1Gbps data network that is specifically designed for data backup. The private backup network ensures greater data backup speeds and enhanced data security. Each device that TEAM backs up requires a dedicated 100Mbps or 1Gbps network interface to connect to our data backup network.

TEAM backs up all customer data to disk storage vaults. The disk storage vaults provide fast data backup and restore performance. TEAM supports all major operating systems — Windows, Linux, and others. Transfers between customer machines and storage vaults use tools and protocols selected and maintained by TEAM and may vary depending on the details of the server’s configuration.

Data Retention:  Customers may define their own retention policy which may include both short term and long term schedules.  For example:  nightly backups going back 1 week, weekly backups going back 1 month, and monthly backups going back 1 year.  By default, TEAM will schedule nightly backups going back 31 days.

How does TEAM provide data backup support?

By default, TEAM performs one full backup along with one daily incremental backup, with incremental backups maintained for 31 days. Our starting disk size is 100GB and additional storage beyond the amount included in the package is automatically added if needed, on a per gigabyte basis and charged according to your purchased plan rate. If you have larger storage needs we have plans for 250GB, 500GB and up to and over 1TB.

This solution allows you to take full control of your backup needs - including the ability to specify the frequency of the backups based on the data size of the products purchased.  If the configured files/folders for backup get modified very frequently, then TEAM can configure daily/weekly incremental backups. Databases are great examples of systems that change frequently.  If the files/folders configured for backup get modified rarely, we can go for monthly full backups. Hence, based on the requirement, you can configure additional incremental backups.

For maximum flexibility, some combination of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly backup jobs can be scheduled.
